New Apartment and Amplifier for Caspar

Hello again everybody!

We have successfully moved into the new apartment (we did so yesterday) and got ourselves settled quite decently. It is a bit small for three, but what the heck. It's close to the center and Akihabara - a very interesting area with a lot of electronic stores and camera stores! Very nice, especially for me. It is also close to the Tokyo University and some nice parks. You can see where it is situated precisely by clicking here. Below is a photo of our room. It is taken with the fisheye lens from the window, so what you see is pretty much all. In the lower left corner is our fridge and behind Caspar is the door to the room. This month I am sleeping in the top bunk, Caspar in the middle and Annette on the floor. We rolled dices about it, and next month I will sleep on the floor and the two others advance in height.

After having moved in, we went out to buy the few things we could see we would need and we had dinner out. Afterwards we tried to find a karaoke bar, but ended up walking around in different electronic stores in Akihabara, much to our amusement. After an evening of fun, we went back to the room.

Today we slept long and went shopping for groceries. After that, Caspar and I went to a district full of music shops, so he could buy a mini amplifier. It's sure to say that Caspar was in his right element here. After looking for an ATM for a while, and finally finding one, we went into a decent looking restaurant to get dinner. The menu card was all in Japanese, so we tried to ask what the waiter could recommend and trusted his judgment. We had a salad for starters, which was pretty awesome, as far as salads goes. Afterwards we had various kebabs. We had no idea whether it had moo'ed, quacked, oinked or been an alcohol processing plant of the prior mentioned meats. It was pretty obvious, when we started eating, that it was the last. Liver - and a lot of it. I didn't mind at all, but there was one particular kebab with very well cooked, grainy consistency, which Caspar didn't like in particular. To try and compensate for the taste of liver we shared some fresh shrimps and crab meat on avocado wrapped in a noodle film. All of it tasted very goo - to me at least. After the meal we went out to find an amplifier for Caspar and it didn't take long until we found a shop with an amplifier in the right size and with the right specs. Caspar had brought his guitars and tried out an amp and fell in love immediately. It was quite lucky, because it was on sale for two thirds of the price.

Now him and I are sitting in the room again. Annette has gone to see a friend of hers, who works in a hotel in midtown. We will go find a karaoke bar tonight and have some man fun.

Until next time, take care!

Esben.
